Former Oracle Co-President now Heads Infor

When you have the highly successful Charles Phillips, Oracle Co-President during the last 7 years, take on the leadership in a smaller company like Infor Global Solutions, you have another formula for success. After tripling Oracle’s growth and helping to engineer a highly rewarding acquisition of Hyperion, BEA Systems and Siebel systems during his tenure,  Charles will now have to match or exceed the 59% annual growth rate left by former Infor CEO Jim Schaper who will now oversee its strategic directions as Chairman of the Board.

Georgia-based Infor develops software solutions that include ERP solutions now considered the 3rd largest in the world, after Oracle and SAP.  Charles Phillips Oracle to Infor move is expected to solidify Infor’s gains and propel its next phase of growth with the release of its next generation application suites more aligned with Microsoft technologies this time. He comes in as Infor grows to more than 8,000 employees with revenues of $2 billion from its 70,000 customers in 125 countries.

Charles Phillips Oracle to Infor move has been circulating in the IT Industry with the man’s relatively short but successful IT experience expected to bring advantage to Infor. Afterall, Charles managed to bring Oracle to triple its growth rate during his term and has been a prime driver in it’s successfully acquisition of Hyperion Solutions, BEA Systems and Siebel Systems.  While Charles only joined Oracle in 2003, he did serve as a Managing Director for the IT sector at Morgan Stanley before that and holds a BS degree in Computer Science.
